Privacy Policy
At SWOO Digital Media we take your privacy extremely seriously. As long-time internet users ourselves we understand full well the implications of handling your data with courtesy, and as such have prepared the following simple policy to ensure your privacy is upheld.
We will take every reasonable precaution to ensure that:-
- Your details are never transferred or made available to any third party by any means, without your prior consent.
- The data we receive is hidden from public view and not made available under any circumstance (except when required by law).
What information will you be holding about me?
Not a lot - but we'll hold it in accordance with the ICO Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure your privacy. Here's what we store (but ONLY if you enter it into one of our enquiry forms!):-
- Your name
- Your e-mail address
- Your company name
- Your contact telephone number
- The type of project you're interested in working with us on
- Your project proposal
- Any additional comments
Okay - how do you store that information?
The above information is transmitted via e-mail using plain text, although stored behind a username and password protected e-mail account (GoogleMail) which is used via SSL to ensure noone can 'snoop' on the data. This is standard practice really for sending e-mails.
For the record though, please do NOT enter personal information into our contact forms, such as bank numbers, credit card details or your home address. We don't need them!
What about my confidential business data?
If you choose to work with us, we'll happily sign any non-disclosure agreements to ensure the privacy of your information as long as the terms do not conflict with our own. It's your responsibility to check if this is the case (and means you'll agree with our terms by default :) ).
We use BASECAMP project management software to encourage collaboration with our clients while their projects are under construction. As such, various files and other data will be shared and governed under the 37Signals security policy which you should really read to see if you agree with their terms - we think they're fine, but you might disagree!
What about my e-mail address?
Don't worry - we'll NEVER share your e-mail address with anyone! ever! We hate spam just as much as you do!
